_Cowboys just scream American Pride. I had the thought of doing different boots for different states and the Wyoming bucking bronco just worked perfectly.

_This was a very popular painting. I love the composition and the negative spaces created by the positive shapes.

_This pose was irresistible to paint. I loved the idea of the cowboy rustling his gal.

_I wanted to paint a pair of boots that even a Texan would envy. The idea of an Arizona flag done in leather on a pair of cowboy boots seemed to fit the bill.

_I loved the horizontal lines of the cowboy stretched out on a hot afternoon. This has been a very popular piece.

_This is a painting of one of my sons getting ready to split rails for our barb wire fences on the farm here in Sandpoint, Idaho. Every spring we repair the fences destroyed by the moose and the winter snows.

_This is my friend Dave taking a break by lounging in our neighbor's open barn window. On a hot day, the inside of the barn is always a good place to find a cool spot for a break.

_The title to this piece seemed to fit perfectly with the unfinished story told by the painting.

_This is my friend Matt who never bothers to wear waders. He loves his old gear - wool pants, canvas creel and long red underwear.

_This piece was painted for my fall show in Jackson, Wyoming. It turned out to be a big hit.

_The contrast between the soft flowers and the rough cowboy leather attracted me to this composition. The unfinished story in this painting is:
"Did the proposal work?"

_They say that feasting on the word is good for the soul. Even cowboys need religion.

_I loved the juxtaposition between the miles of chrome on the Harley and the rough leather of the cowboy. This was a real fun painting to paint.

_The approaching spectacle of a famed Texas dust storm is something this cowboy isn’t going to miss.

_This has been one of our best selling prints. The original hangs in a very famous restaurant in Texas.
