Exodus 14:13   "Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today.
And
Psalm 100:5 5   For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
The same God that delivered the Israelites on that seemingly hopeless day in the desert, still works in our lives today. As we live in the 21st century and struggle with hard issues in this life, we can be encouraged remembering how God is in control even when our problems look impassable and that His faithfulness continues through all generations.

Luke 7:36-38, 44-47
Now one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him, so he went to the Pharisee's house and reclined at the table. 37When a woman who had lived a sinful life in that town learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee's house, she brought an alabaster jar of perfume, 38and as she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them…
44Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. 45You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet. 46You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet. 47Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—for she loved much.
When we are able to grasp “a piece” of understanding of all that Jesus Christ has done for us by removing our sin in taking on our wretchedness, carrying our burden of debt to the cross and paying the full penalty, and in exchange, crediting His righteousness to us, what other response is there but to fall at His feet in worship and pouring out our best as an offering.

Habakkuk 3:17-19 17
Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, 18 yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. 19 The Sovereign LORD is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on the heights.
Often as we stumble through the hills and valleys of life feeling hopeless and weak, our clumsy plodding leads us nowhere, but when we trust in our Lord and call on His strength and power, we can surely find the guidance and strength to journey onward and upward as He calls us.

Lamentations 3: 55-58
55 I called on your name, O LORD, from the depths of the pit. 56 You heard my plea: "Do not close your ears to my cry for relief." 57 You came near when I called you, and you said, "Do not fear." 58 O Lord, you took up my case; you redeemed my life.
In our deepest, darkest nights of the soul, God hears our cry, and though He may seem far off, He is right beside us ready to offer his love and to renew our hope.
